BlurGPT is a Chrome extension that blurs the ChatGPT chat history sidebar to protect on-screen privacy.

Data Collection

BlurGPT does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from users. All processing (blurring the ChatGPT history sidebar) occurs locally in your browser. The extension does not log keystrokes, monitor browsing activity, or share any data with third parties.

Permissions Used

  • Scripting: to insert/remove CSS that blurs the sidebar.
  • Storage: to save the blur on/off setting locally (no personal data).
  • Host permissions: to operate only on chatgpt.com and openai.com.
